Greensward College work with Hockley Parish Plan Group
Students of Greensward College hold returned copies of the Hockley Parish Plan questionnaire which they are helping to analyse.
26th March saw the launch of the questionnaire to 4000 households and businesses in Hockley.
It will seek the vital opinions of residents on the future of the village and will form the basis of a Parish Plan which will act as guidance to the local councils and other bodies as to what the residents really want.
Over 1000 completed questionnaires were returned – an unprecedented rate of return for a public survey.
The College is keen to involve the students more with the community and has set up a project to allow them to enter and analyse the returns.
The results will go on display at a Public Day at the Old Fire Station, Hockley on Saturday 9th June.
John Szynal of Greensward College, David Fryer-Kelsey, Group Chairman and John Passfield at the College with the students.
